The Southeast Chapter of Wisconsin Visual Arts has invited the Northeast Chapter of WVA and the Art Students of Lakeland University to participate in this exhibition at the Bradley Gallery on the campus of Lakeland University.

Artwork may be delivered to Lakeland University by UPS, FedEx, or USPS. The details will be listed in the prospectus.

Pickup Artwork – Saturday, October 26 & Sunday, October 27, 2024, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Show Dates: September 20 – October 25, 2024
Opening Reception: Friday, September 20 at 4:00 PM/Gallery Talk at 4:45 PM

ELIGIBILITY

This exhibition is open to current members of the Southeast Chapter and the Northeast Chapter of Wisconsin Visual Artists as well as students of Lakeland University. Your WVA membership must be active through October 30th, 2024 at the time of application. When you renew your membership early, a full year is added.

ENTRY FEES

Entry Fee: $15.00

There are two parts to this exhibition

  1. Artwork Exhibition – 150 pieces will be accepted based on the show’s theme.
  2. Chair Installation Project – 30 “chairs” will be accepted for the installation project.

You may enter work for both parts of this exhibition. You only have to pay an entry fee for the ARTWORK Exhibition.

ARTWORK EXHIBITION GUIDELINES

We will only accept 2D and 3D work. No video or performance art will be accepted.
We will be accepting 150 pieces of artwork for this exhibition on a first-submitted, first-accepted basis
All artwork submitted must be original work related to the show’s theme.
No reproductions of artwork will be accepted.
Artists may submit only 2-D work OR 3-D work.

2-Dimensional Artwork Guidelines

Artists may submit TWO (2) small/medium pieces or ONE (1) large piece

  • Small/medium pieces must be at least 12” on the shortest side and no longer than 24” on the longest side, including frame and matting.
  • Large pieces must be no longer than 60” on the longest side, including the frame and matting.
  • All 2-D work must be ready for hanging. Small/Medium pieces should be wired. Large pieces may use D-rings hangers. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted.

3-Dimensional Artwork Guidelines

Artists may submit ONE (1) piece

  • 3-D pieces must fit within a 36” x 36” footprint and no taller than 8’
  • 3-D pieces should be self-supporting whether on the floor or on a pedestal
  • We have limited space for hanging 3-D pieces on the wall. You must supply all necessary hardware for hanging.

CHAIR INSTALLATION PROJECT GUIDELINES

For the Installation Project, a “chair” is defined as an object that you sit upon. This includes a chair, a bench, or a stool.

There is no entry fee for this project. You do not have to participate in the Artwork Exhibition to submit a chair, but you are encouraged to submit work for both sections.

We will only accept THIRTY (30) applications for the Chair Installation Project on a first-submitted, first-accepted basis.

Some chairs may be hung on a wall, so please consider all visible surfaces when “decorating” your chair.
