Mike Jagielo
Biographical Info I have owned and operated my studio, The Wood Plane, in Almond, Wisconsin since 1983. After serving a four year carpentry apprenticeship and a two year stint in a custom furniture shop, I was eager to open the doors to my own studio. With time, patience and perseverance, I have built a reputation for quality and unique pieces. I currently design furniture, 2 and 3D Art. My accolades include several first and second place awards as well as winning seven grand prizes in national woodworking contests. I have also received invitational awards after attending various Midwest Art Shows. My work has been featured in publications, both books and magazines on a local and national level. I have also help design and construct liturgical furnishings for over 40 churches throughout the United States. My work is constantly evolving keeping it current and fresh. My future artworks will continue as an expression of my love for wood using techniques that create a unique and artistic flair in a limitless medium.
