Susan Sewell
Biographical Info Sue Sewell grew up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin where she spent as much time outside as possible. Even as a young child, she was always exploring the local woodlands and creeks. Her strong love of nature can be seen in her current work in stained glass mosaics. Her work in stained glass spans 40 years. Traditional stained glass work felt too confining, so she has embraced mosaics which allow her to move pieces and colors around while constructing her designs. She layers glass pieces to create new colors and textures. Recycled objects often hold her art. Colored grout completes each piece. She hopes that her art instills a sense of calm and peace, with a bit of whimsy.
