Biographical Info I am a self taught fiber artist. My primary focus is creating landscapes and florals using wool fibers as my paint and brush strokes. The fibers are felted together using wet felting techniques and then further enhanced with dry felting and stitching. I integrate other fibers into my work to create additional texture and effects such as silk roving, silk lap, linen, banana fiber, bamboo and sari silk. My inspiration comes from the landscapes of Wisconsin and landscapes that I experience when traveling. My work is ultimately a marriage of the artistic creation and the transformation that occurs when you felt the fibers. There is a significant amount of serendipity involved.
