Paul Westermann
Biographical Info Following a forty-year career in graphic design and corporate identity, I now dedicate my time to art, where I find beauty in the smallest details of nature – “the world beneath the world.” I have a visual communications degree from the Institute of Design in Chicago, with a thesis in experimental printmaking. During my weekly walks in southeastern Wisconsin I take digital photographs of natural elements and collect samples; leaves, twigs and bark. I scan and arrange them digitally to augment their color, patterns and textures. It is my hope that my art brings people closer to all the natural beauty that surrounds us.
