Biographical Info
• Linda Johnson-Dynek received her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education/Art Therapy with a minor in Psychology, and Master of Arts in Education degrees from Alverno College. She is an ABD doctoral candidate in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette University, with a research focus on assessment. Linda has been an art educator for 30+ years — 15 years of experience with K-12 students and 16 years of experience teaching at Alverno College, as an assistant professor and eventually Program Director for the Art Education/Art Therapy programs, teaching Art Education and Adaptive Arts Media and Methods and field courses, photography, and other art and education courses. She is currently working as a full time artist with a focus on Photography and Painting. She also enjoys pastel painting, fibers, metalwork and ceramics. She hasn’t found an art medium she does not love, which made her career as an art educator, and currently makes her work as an artist, a vocation of joyful and challenging exploration.
