Lisa Dukowitz
Biographical Info Lisa Dukowitz lives in Wheatland, Wisconsin, on ten acres of heavily wooded land. In this natural setting, she creates mixed-media artwork that draws inspiration from discovered objects, woodland creatures, and the rugged shores of the Great Lakes. She spent much time on Lake Michigan with her father, which instilled a passion for being on large bodies of water. Her mother was a gifted seamstress, and her father a talented jack of all trades. The kitchen table was always covered with projects. Lisa’s natural talent for drawing became evident at an early age. She earned her MFA from the UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts in Painting and Drawing and studied printmaking abroad in Florence, Italy. She was an art educator for twenty-one years for upper-level high school and college students. Her award-winning work has been exhibited in public art events, juried regional exhibitions, and Midwest travel publications. Currently, her work can be viewed at Gallery 223 in Lake Geneva.
