Ian Vierck

Ian Vierck finds inspiration in communicating data, natural processes, and relationships within the field of ecology. Ian has a profound curiosity for the natural world; growing up in Central Wisconsin shaped his view of nature as vast forest speckled with glacial erratics, and pristine lakes neighbored by chirping marshes. Initially, his dream was to bring that world to people in urban centers, but after traveling, leaving Wisconsin, and self-reflection, Ian realized that the natural world is everywhere, no matter the amount of concrete that surrounds him. The opportunity is not bringing nature to people, but bringing peoples’ appreciation and curiosity to nature. Through a mix of medias, Ian strives to educate and incite curiosity within the communities he interacts with.
