Carrie Dorski
Biographical Info Carrie Dorski is an artist and arts administrator based in Northeast Wisconsin. Carrie creates artwork inspired by daily life and personal experiences. Her process is driven by introspection and intuition. Carrie approaches her work using training from multiple disciplines typically resulting in two-dimensional ‘paintings.’ She builds tactile, texture-rich layers comprised of vintage textiles and ephemera. Carrie’s artwork is truly a labor of love, meditation, and drive (maybe compulsion) to create tangible art with her hands. Her process is deeply personal and often indicative of her state of mind. __ Carrie Dorski has a BFA in Museum Studies and Arts Management from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. While Carrie considers herself an artist and always has, she spends most of her time working behind the scenes supporting artists and the arts community through her work at the NWTC Artisan and Business Center.
