Cary Hunkel
Biographical Info Too often we take our natural world for granted, not slowing down enough in our daily lives to appreciate nature’s creations. As an artist I take the time to pay attention to the wonders that surround us and celebrate the animals that share our world. Although my watercolors are realistic, aesthetic appeal is an important component of my art. The lighting, patterns, and design movement help to direct attention to the spirit of each animal. To capture a moment in time, to ignite the spark of life, to help connect us to our natural heritage—can this be done with art?
