Alice Blue
Biographical Info Alice Blue returned to painting 25 years ago. Since then, she has attended many workshops and currently paints with a group of fellow artists who serve as mentors for each other. She paints plein air when the weather permits as well as in her studio. Many of her paintings reflect a connection to the destinations she has traveled to around the world. Other pieces reflect her wide range of interests. Her preferred mediums are acrylic and oil. Her work has been shown in multiple group shows as well as several solo shows. Currently living along the Rock River in Wisconsin, Alice’s paintings often show her love of water; its many moods and reflections. Also a photographer, she uses her photography as inspirations for her some of her paintings. The winner of several state awards, she has had her art featured in Midwest Review Magazine. Her painting “Lilies” was chosen to be displayed at the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences in Madison in 2018-2019. Alice’s paintings can be found in private collections here in the US as well as abroad.
