Jurors
We are pleased to have the following Jurors for Biennial 2026:
- NICOLE JACQUARD is a Professor and Area Coordinator of Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design at Indiana University, with advanced degrees from both the U.S. and Australia, including a Ph.D. from RMIT University. Her research integrates cutting-edge technologies like CAD, CAM, rapid prototyping, and augmented reality into contemporary studio practices. A two-time Fulbright Scholar and former President of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, Jacquard is internationally recognized for her exhibitions, lectures, and widely published work.
- TAYLOR JASPER is the Susan and Rob White Assistant Curator of Visual Arts at the Walker Art Center, where she has led and co-curated a range of exhibitions since 2023. Her curatorial experience spans major institutions, including the Momentary and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, with a focus on contemporary art that engages performance, material culture, and Black visual histories. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, she holds a BA in Black Studies and Art History from the College of William & Mary.
- MELISSA ORESKY is a multidisciplinary artist whose painting and collage practice centers on plants as sentient beings, exploring their forms, communication, and inner lives through slow, iterative studio processes. Her work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and internationally, with recent pieces using botanical forms as a kind of visual language. Originally from Maryland, Oresky lives in Normal, Illinois, where she is a Professor of Painting and Drawing at Illinois State University.
