The 2024 WVA Legacy Awards were presented at the May 11, 2024 Annual Meeting at the Art Preserve in Kenosha.
The awardees are:
Southeast Chapter: Marie Mellot
Marie’s award was presented by Gary Gresl, Lifetime WVA Member and 2022 Legacy Awardee. Gary spoke of Marie’s transformational connection with longtime WVA donor Robert Ragir, without which the organization’s future may have been in jeopardy.
South Central Chapter: Pat and Lee Holt
Sadly, Lee has passed away and Pat was not able to attend, but Lifetime Member Tori Tasch presented the award in absentia. Tori spoke of Pat and Lee Holt’s impact on the Japan exchange program and gave an update from Pat who is now living in Atlanta, GA and appreciates the organization’s honoring of her and her late partner Lee.
Northeast Chapter: Michelle Richeson
Jane Hostetler, WVA President, presented the award to Michelle. Jane spoke of Michelle’s commitment to the organization and the support the Richeson family has had for not only the organization but especially within the NE Chapter.
