Biographical Info

Shelly Rosenquist is a Milwaukee-based artist and creative director whose work bridges the worlds of fine art and design. She earned her BA in Communication & the Arts with an emphasis in Fine Art and Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where she began her career designing flyers, postcards, and logos for the Student Union.

Today, Shelly serves as Associate Director of Brand & Creative Strategy at the Medical College of Wisconsin, leading a team of designers, videographers, and project managers responsible for shaping the institution’s visual identity.

In 2023, she and her husband launched Rosenquist Fine Art in South Milwaukee, where she creates vibrant acrylic paintings on handmade wooden panels and stretched canvases. Influenced by her background in graphic design, her work is distinguished by bold black outlines, luminous color, and a striking graphic quality often likened to stained glass.

Shelly’s art reflects her belief that both design and painting are about pushing boundaries and communicating in fresh ways. Through her work, she invites viewers to rediscover beauty in unexpected places.
