Sheree Wood

Sheree Wood is a painter whose work is shaped by a lifetime of moving between distinct landscapes, cultures, and languages. Raised in Wisconsin and later living in Venezuela, Spain, and Portugal, she developed a deep appreciation for the ways place informs memory and perception. She now divides her time between Wisconsin and Arizona, where the contrasting landscapes of the Upper Midwest and the Southwest continue to inspire her work. Her paintings meld the seen and the imagined, using abstraction to evoke the sensory and emotional experience of the natural world.
