Robin Samiljan

Being attentive to the environment, I find artistic inspiration, meditation, and structure in the impressionistic patterns that exist in the natural world. I work with multiple art mediums using saturated pigments on papers and boards, often combined with wax or gesso to create luminous, dimensional textures. I also love experimenting with new combinations using traditional and non-traditional materials. Pure, lush color meshed with organic shapes and form allows me to create ambience on a flat surface.

I am a signature member of the Chicago Pastel Painters and maintain Copley Artist membership in Boston. Having spent 25 years living in New England, it is where I began and developed my artistic career. Most recently, home has transitioned from Chicago to Green Bay where I am actively re-connecting with nature. I offer painting workshops at the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek, private and semi-private lessons in my home studio.
