Biographical Info

I have been a printmaker for over 50 yrs. My press name is the Pileated Press. I have worked at the Racine Art Museum & Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay as an exhibition preparer for 45 years until retirement. My prints have been in numerous shows… invited & competitions. The Robert Ray Gallery in Algoma has my work. This year, I have participated in an exhibit of work by 8 Artists in “From the Archives: Recently Established Artists Archives at RAM”.The work by the invited artists are now included in their collection. Also, myself & three of my colleagues are currently at University of Parkside, Kenosha in the “Doug DeVinny Retrospective, and Four from Parkside”. DeVinny was our printmaker professor & after his passing… we gave the DeVinny family our exhibition slot & was given an area for some of our pieces to exhibit. With my background in interest in botany, gardening, etc., my imagery reflects my interests in landscapes & florals, with some social commentary snuck in once in awhile. Like all artists, we try to create a narrative with our art & the viewers. My challenge is to keep an interest going.
