Kathaleen Kerner

My decades long art career began with Layton School of Art and Design. I have an art therapy degree and a teaching degree in art. After 20 years, I retired from teaching at the school, but continue to teach adults from my home studio. As a creative maker of clay objects and sculpture, I often dig through the ashes of my post firing barrel to find beauty. The flame and smoke create a dramatic yet primitive action. My sculptures have been shown at many galleries in both WI. and IL. and  also across the southwest part of New Mexico.
