Biographical Info

Jayne Reid Jackson is an artist/printmaker who works primarily in etching/intaglio techniques.  She is known internationally for her mezzotint work (a specific technique in etching/intaglio) where she uses still life imagery to study how manipulating light, reflection and shadow can tell stories and provide visual poetry by manipulating the shadows, reflections of the objects and their surroundings.
Her work has been accepted into national and international print exhibitions, both juried and invitational. As a member of several print societies across the US, she exhibits regularly in their member exhibitions and in international juried shows and invitationals.  Her work is included in several large public collections in the US and internationally.
Jayne has been an active member of the South Central Chapter since her membership began in 2003. She was elected Chair of the Chapter from 2018 through 2022 (two terms). She stayed on as the Vice Chair from 2022 to 2024, was the Secretary of the WVA Board for 2023-2024 and remains as a member of the Exhibition Committee for the South Central Chapter from 2022 to the present.
