Doug E. L. Haynes
Haynes has been an active member of the Wisconsin Visual Artists since the early 1990’s and now is a life member. Highlights of Haynes career include: the Governor’s Awards in Support of the Arts, the WVA Japanese exchange, participation in the early stages of the Wisconsin Visual Art Lifetime Achievement Awards induction committee, the 36 works in self portrait with a crab, an ongoing project to illustrate the bible and several 30 paintings in 30 days projects. Recent projects include: Life is not always easy (2018), Really Big Prints (2016, 18, 21, 23, & 25), The Bible in color (2019), Father, Son / Poet, Painter (2021), 여술 신앙의 정원 – (Five essays on art and justice published in translation 2021), State Street Coloring Book (2021), 31 paintings in October (2023), Art for the Community (2024), Wisconsin GOP History: A Coloring Book (2024) The Humanities Building:Do You Love it or Hate it (anticipated).
