Dan Nauman
Dan Nauman has been an artist-blacksmith since 1979, professionally since 1993. His works range from sculpture, to sculptural furniture, gates, railings, lighting, and more. His work can be found at such places as: Lynden Sculpture Garden, Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, The Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, The Executive Residence in Madison, as well as many churches, businesses, and private homes across the nation. His body of work addresses past and current styles, often emphasizing the plasticity of the medium. He enjoys the immediacy of the process, and savors the results with the end result frozen for millennia. He delights in showing that steel can be bold, but at the same time delicate; a dichotomy exemplified through metal in varying degrees and variety.
