Caitilin Stolle
I’ve been involved in Fine Arts most of my life. The watercolor I did early on, imbued me with a keen love of art. Growing up in an American Primitive Art business further sharpened my appreciation; and set my feet on the path of attending auctions, galleries, and exhibitions. This ‘fed my soul so to speak’, during my years of professional pursuit. Moving to a rural setting in retirement has put me back in touch with that first love, watercolor. Reconnecting with the pleasure of painting and being in the fellowship of artists.
What I enjoy most about watercolor is capturing that fleeting moment. Remembering the feeling that caught
my attention. Capturing that singular impression interests me. Fixing that moment in time and space in a
limited palette is the challenge.
Primarily, I paint portraits; some landscapes, florals, and still-life.
