Copper has become my canvas but more importantly, I employ techniques of Repousse to draw into the
Copper in unique ways. I then apply patina to the surface and then polish the surface. In next step, I mount it to a raised panel. My favorite painting medium is oils, but I enjoy enamels, and various patinas and inks.
When I need a change, I go to soft pastels.

My subject matter has been the beautiful landscapes and wild flowers around me in Door County.
But this year, I’m looking forward to doing portraits.

My focus is on “whatever true,noble,right,pure,lovely,admirable: think about these things”.
