Cindy Hansen

Wisconsin-native Cindy Hansen works in staged self-portrait photography, using herself as a model in nearly all her works. She manipulates photographic composites to construct the images in Photoshop. Her work includes subjects such as Resilience in Aging, Dementia, Feminism, Civil Rights, Forgiveness, and Surrealism. Self-taught, Cindy works alone doing all the costumes, makeup, backgrounds, camerawork and post-production. Her photographs have been exhibited in galleries around Wisconsin and the Midwest, as well as in Moscow and Barcelona.
