Abby Thiede

Abby Thiede is a Door County, Wisconsin-based charcoal artist creating hyper-realistic portraits that explore emotion, transformation, grief, and self-acceptance. Working primarily in charcoal and graphite, her work balances softness and intensity, often examining the relationship between the body, memory, and human experience. Influenced by Victorian aesthetics, cinematic lighting, poetry, music, and the quiet beauty of everyday life, Abby creates intimate, emotionally driven work that embraces both darkness and light.
